Description
N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine [also called 2-Acetoxy-3-(trimethylaminium) butanoic acid] is a naturally occurring water soluble coenzyme compound related to the B-Vitamin Choline (Tri-Methyl-Amino-Ethanol). It is found in high levels in the brain and in the body’s cellular mitochondrial. Also it is the Acetylated form of L-Carnitine which plays a role in cardiovascular health.
Neurochemical Effects
Protects Nerve Growth Factor Receptors (Maintains youthful cerebral functioning). Increases Acetylation of Coenzyme A (a precursor to Acetylcholine) and Boosts Choline Acetyltransferase (the rate limiting neuroenzyme that produces Acetylcholine) [Dual Action Memory Support] Enhances transport of fatty acids into the cellular mitochondria [Increased Mental & Physically Energy Levels] Elevates memory consolidation
