L-DOPA (3,4-dihydroxy-L-phenylalanine) is a naturally occuring amino acid found in certain plants (Mucuna pruriens, Velvet Bean, etc) and is produced in the human brain from L-Tyrosine. It is the direct precursor of the neurotransmitter Dopamine and increases HGH release. Dopamine is involved in mood, motor control, focus, memory, and alertness. HGH is involved in mood and physical strength. |
